Former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly has said it is ‘none of my business’ what the audience reaction is to the new Peter Sutcliffe drama she appears in.

Emily Jackson was a part-time sex worker who died at the hands of Sutcliffe in 1976 on January 20. She was 42 when she died and was Sutcliffe’s second victim.
“The same with Lewis , I believe in that and the four years of research done and that's where my trust lies. I know that is all we can do. I feel that it has been made with nuisance and authenticity. That's where the job ends for me. Katherine said: “The responsibility when you are playing somebody, I’m wary of using the word character, as she existed, and the responsibility is not something I take lightly. I know nobody takes this lightly.
“If I was focusing on her, or her family, watching the show, I just had to try to come back to honouring the truth. As I think that’s what she'd want.”
