The agreement runs from April 2023 to March 31, 2028. The funding for P.E.I. represents a 25 per cent increase from the previous agreement and will be cost-shared between federal and provincial coffers. Specific projects could include the development of perennial cover crops, erosion control and the P.E.I. Livestock Strategy, aimed at boosting the livestock sector.
