is bringing Italian food “straight from grandma’s kitchen” to the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center.
“We are busy on the music side of things. Having the pizza and the lunch, it will be a great fit,” said John Traynor, HMAC founder, who is now the facility’s consultant. Nonna Ilva Authentic Kitchen is opening at HMAC at 1110 N. Third St. in Harrisburg. Pizzas are among the specialties.Cappella, who grew up about two hours from Rome and arrived in the United States three years ago, said Nonna’s specializes in authentic dishes. It will serve appetizers such as fried calamari, meatballs and bruschetta along with pizzas, panini sandwiches and pastas such as rigatoni pesto burrata and lasagna.
Pizza choices will feature an Amatriciana made with Italian smoked bacon, chili oil, caramelized onion, parmesan and black pepper; pepperoni diavola with mozzarella, pepperoni, jalapeno and hot honey; and a Funghi with mozzarella, mushrooms, ham ricotta and truffle oil.
