Australian actor Christie Whelan Browne is suing the company that employed her on a Rocky Horror Show theatre production, claiming she was "sexually harassed" by a cast member and subjected to sexual discrimination.The legal action alleges Oldfield Entertainment discriminated against her under the Sexual Discrimination ActMs Whelan Browne lodged documents in the Federal Court of Australia in Sydney on Tuesday, her lawyers told the ABC.
She said the legal action was related to her alleged experiences as a lead actor on the show's Melbourne run in 2014, and Oldfield Entertainment's alleged responses after she complained in 2017. "I filed this application today with fear and anxiety, but also certain in the knowledge that it is something I must do and that I will see through to the end," the actor wrote on the platform formerly known as Twitter.
