It all starts with a storm. And the unlikely figure of movie legend, Back To the Future's very own Dr Emmett Brown, beamed onto the big screens heralding the 20th anniversary of reunited rockers Busted.
“After 20 fucking years we got a number one,” booms Matt. To celebrate, he's even transformed his hairdo back to his youthful peroxide blonde slick. Meanwhile Charlie commands the stage from the centre, the lofty plinth of the group. All three are in fine form and in fine voice to reprise all of their bouncing hits as well as wow the crowds with some of the newies too.
We also get a bit of a treat when Hanson, who played in support on the night, return to stage to perform a rocking cover of their smash hit Mmm Bop with Busted, before uniting on Sleeping with The Light On all together too. It's among the highlights of a great night of rocking live music. There's a surprise proposal to top things off at the finale of the main set - the band halting the music to turn the spotlight on bold Joe Drury who gets down on bended knee to his partner in front of 16,000 fans. When they confirm it's a "yes" the Busted boys are so happy that Matt even says he's about to cry.
