Tenom: Some 102 settlers at Sabah Rubber Industry Board’s (LIGS) Settlement Scheme in Lagud Seberang who have finished paying the development cost loans are demanding land grants to be issued to them.

Settlers Chairman Samaan Lalang said 102 settlers had completed paying their loans in 2008-2012. However, only 30 land grants were issued to 30 settlers while another 72 grants are awaited. Daily Express Malaysia

“We, request the relevant parties to issue the land grants considering the development and related loans cost have already been paid up “ he said, at the recent Lagud Seberang LIGS Settlers and Tappers Day. These settlers’ claims were voiced by Samaan to LIGS Chairman Datuk Edward Linggu.
