President Cyril Ramaphosa says women are the first to feel the effects of damage to the environment and they are the vanguard in the battle for a greener world.

in East London as the country also marks International Women’s Day.

The President says the late Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa was a key figure in setting South Africa and the world on the path to a more sustainable future.The campaign forms part of the Chemicals and Waste Economy leg of Operation Phakisa.Click video below:
