Police said a man with a gun was barricaded inside a business near TCU. He was eventually taken into custody.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A suspect is in custody after firing shots and barricading himself inside a Fort Worth restaurant Thursday afternoon, police say. , officers responded to the 3400 block of Blue Bonnet Circle after a report of a man firing gunshots in the air around 2 p.m.

When they arrived, officers said the man barricaded himself inside theDue to the proximity to the TCU campus, an emergency alert was sent out to students and staff, however, police haven't confirmed what it said. TCU police were helping Fort Worth police officers with traffic control to ensure pedestrians and vehicles didn't enter the area during the standoff.
