Ryan is stoked to be in San Diego! He’s coming to the area from Sacramento. So, he only had to shuffle his area codes around a little bit, trading the 916 for the 619.

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Viasat – a Carlsbad based technology company – is announcing it’ll be cutting 800 jobs as a part of a layoff. 160 of those roles are in Carlsbad.

“I think a lot of the mentality that goes into trying to understand a layoff is why you’re the person being laid off,” Ashley Gosselin, Founder of Recruiter Method, said. She said she since founded a career coaching business called Recruiter Method. Gosselin told me she believes people think of the tech industry in terms of big tech rather than it being an industry that touches most of every industry.
