Cllr Marlene Haworth, Leader of the Council, said: “As someone who both works and resides in Hyndburn, I am the first to say just how near and dear Accrington Market Hall is to locals and so to watch the transformation of the space unfold firsthand is a real pleasure.

The Council are seeking an innovative and experienced entrepreneur to take lease of Accrington Market Hall, enlivening the renovated space with the very best local retailers, and food and beverage traders. County Councillor Aidy Riggott, cabinet member for Economic Development and Growth, said: “Lancashire County Council fully supports Hyndburn’s plans, which have benefited from our local Levelling Up Investment Fund and Lancashire Economic Recovery and Growth Fund. I’m extremely pleased to see these ambitious plans for Accrington starting to come to fruition.”
