Police said it is believed the man suffered a medical episode

A large police cordon was set up in Nottingham city centre after a man was found collapsed in the street. Emergency services were in attendance at Cheapside and Exchange Walk off Old Market Square on Monday) afternoon, November 13.

Both areas were taped off to the public. Nottinghamshire Police said the man is believed to have collapsed due to a medical episode. “Officers are in attendance in Exchange Walk, Nottingham city centre, after a man was found collapsed in the street," Chief Inspector Karl Thomas said in a statement.“A scene is currently in place at this location, while officers carry out inquiries to establish what happened. It’s currently believed the man suffered a medical episode.

“Anyone who has any information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting incident 276 of 13 November 2023.” Photos taken at around 1pm show at least five police vehicles and an ambulance parked in the area. NET Trams said there was no service running between Old Market Square and Nottingham Station as a result of the police incident. It wrote on X: "Due to a police incident we have no service between Old Market Square and Nottingham Station. NCT Green line buses are accepting our tickets."
