Aldi said it plans to achieve the addition of the 800 stores over the next four years through a combination of new openings and store conversions. Southeastern Grocers operated about 400 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket stores across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. In recent years, Aldi has built a regional headquarters and distribution center in Loxley and has opened stores in the region, including in Mobile and Baldwin counties.
