NottinghamshireLive readers have been debating the recent announcement of a £3 million investment on major A-roads

Calls have been made for further improvements be made to roads in Nottingham after news two city routes will receive a combined £3 million for upgrades such as new pedestrian crossings. The £3m investment plan is being put into improving roads on the A60 Mansfield Road and the A6200 Derby Road in Nottingham, causing lots of chatter from our readers.

Worried Guy said: "There is cycle track on both sides of Hucknall Road that no one even uses very often see cyclists riding on the pavement what's coming on Mansfield Road the same waste of taxpayers money and single track Road with more traffic jams." "Only recently saw a woman drag at least 3 kids across the road near the Savoy, and once a bloke walked directly across me with two very young kids and I was on the cycle at the time. Parents even drag their kids across roads without no thought to road safety on the way to the school gate."
