White House to sign memorandum on federal housing finance

President Donald Trump is expected on Wednesday to sign a memorandum on federal housing finance, a White House official said. The memorandum, coming on the second day of a Senate Banking hearing on housing finance reform, will direct the Treasury Department and the Department of Housing and Urban Development to draft reports on the reform of Fannie Mae FNMA, +0.00% and Freddie Mac FMCC, -0.20% Politico reported.
