Again, fire has gutted the Gamboru market around the customs area in Maiduguri, the Borno capital.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that on March 18, 2023 and Nov. 13, 2023 fire gutted the market, which is the biggest perishable goods market in Maiduguri.

“The Borno State Fire Service immediately dispatched a team of firefighters to the site, and the fire was effectively extinguished. The commissioner said that the state government would take all steps to overcome fire disasters in the state. The United States’ government recently revealed its willingness to collaborate with the Ministry of Art, Culture and Creative Economy to introduce initiatives aimed at enhancing individual skills in music and television scriptwriting.

About two million households, representing 15 per cent of the 13 million electricity customers in Nigeria, are set to bear the burden of an inefficient power sector as the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission
