Brian Jones, an investment advisor for T.D. Wealth, will lead the Expedition Heart campaign to climb the mountain in hopes of raising awareness and $100,000 to support programs such as Heart Healthy Schools, Automated External Defibrillator placements and CPR Training. The seasoned explorer has already tackled other tough terrains like the Sahara Desert and the North and South Poles, helping raise over $2 million for local charities.

Jones himself lives with atrial fibrillation , a condition that causes a quivering or irregular heartbeat known as arrhythmia, which comes with higher risks of blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other complications."In New Brunswick, people root for each other to do great things," Jones says. "Expedition Heart is not just about scaling a mountain — it's about rallying together to make a difference. My goal is to support Heart & Stroke N.B. by spreading awareness and saving lives in our local communities."
