Cupping is a practice where a massage therapist will suction the skin to work the fascia to allow better circulation. Nick GainesAs a massage therapist, Gaines is trained in several different techniques, one of which is cupping. In this technique, she uses silicone cups to create a suction on the skin, lifting up the fascia to help the muscles circulate.

"You go after more of the fascia as opposed to more of the muscle itself," she explained."There's a lot more nerve endings in the fascia, so it helps with circulation."
