The posh house left buyers wondering what previous owners had been doing in there with all those plug sockets.

When a five-bedroom detached home in Middlesex went on the market for £1.3m, it promised a family-friendly location, bright spaces, and a conservatory leading to a patio area and spacious rear garden.Back in 2019, Toby Davies posted the property featuring an unusual interior design choice in a post on Twitter - now known as X. The post was has since racked up more than 6,000 likes and been reposted around 2,500 times.

Top news stories today The photos show the house plastered in sockets, stacked on top of one another, halfway up the walls and sockets running underneath the windows. Questions included "were they running the CIA from the front room?" and "was this an electrician's training centre at one point?". Another joked the last electricity bill was £1,452,092 for the quarter.
