BUCHAREST - France is not specifically targeting U.S. internet giants with a planned tax on digital service companies, its finance minister said in an interview, pushing back against pressure from Washington to drop the levy.

“France is not leading a crusade against the United States. The United States are an ally and a friend of France. France is leading a crusade against tax injustice - it’s not the same thing,” Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told Reuters. The U.S. Treasury’s top international tax official, Chip Harter, said last month in Paris that such taxes were potentially “discriminatory” and said Washington was looking into whether it could retaliate under WTO rules and trade treaties.

Easy, for every dollar they tax, then the US sends one less dollar to NATO.

It sure seems that way. Maybe a levy against all the French tech companies, or an outright tech embargo would sort this all out...

America (GOP) has proven time and time again they are psychotically paranoid. It's about time Well, you would be too if you continually committed crimes against other countries.

Now that is a lie... An out and out falsehood! France has been on a crusade against against the US ever since Depierdu did not win the Academy Award for Cyrano dear Bergerac!!!
