will not see a rise in taxes this year after Colchester Council approved its operating budget for 2024/25 on Thursday, April 25.

The budget saw an increase of around $3.3 million, going from $38.7 million to just over $42 million this year, helped in part by the increase in residential tax revenue and commercial tax revenue . "Council carefully reviews grant applications from dozens and dozens of community groups each year," said Blair."These organizations, many volunteer-led, are critical to providing important services and facilities in our Municipality. We are pleased to support these dedicated groups that work so hard to make our communities better.
