An Oklahoma City bus slammed into a building while the driver was attacked. Seconds later, the bus slams into a Britton District business. 'The operator is doing well. Obviously had bumps and bruises, got him to medical facilities right after. He's off work now but doing well,' Embark Director Jason Ferbrache said. The suspect wanted to get off the bus at these train tracks and attacked when the driver said no.
'It reinforces that as an organization that we have to continue to train like we have in the past and try to prepare our transit professionals for these situations as best as we can,' Ferbrache said.Embark says they're adding more safety training, including a focus on de-escalation.They’ll work with several safety agencies to make their response faster and more efficient in dangerous scenarios.
