One of the men killed early Sunday in the Market Square shooting had been arrested earlier this month and was connected to several vehicle burglaries, according to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus. The Bexar County Medical Examiner identified Mikey Valdez, 18, as one of the shooters at the Fiesta event. He died from multiple gunshots, and the medical examiner’s office ruled the death a homicide.
