The Lagos police command has arrested 50 suspects over the violent clashes that occurred at the Ile Epo market in the state.
Violence broke out at the market on Wednesday after a misunderstanding over a game of lotto, leading to the burning of shops and shanties by hoodlums.Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos police spokesperson, said in a statement that normalcy has been restored to the market.“Over fifty suspects have so far been arrested while the shanties they occupied have been destroyed, effectively dislodging them,” the statement reads.
