“I suggested to the leaders of those countries to also consider Kelantan as an investment location, alongside other states,” he was quoted by Bernama as saying.Anwar said he considered it his responsibility to do his “utmost to help the people” despite not getting the mandate to form the Kelantan government.
Last year, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said there was potential for Kelantan to receive investments from Japan, South Korea and the Middle East.He previously noted that there were not many foreign factories in the state except for ROHM-Wako Electronics from Japan. On technical and vocational education and training , Anwar said programmes are set to be enhanced to address the shortage of 30,000 engineers in the country.
Anwar said AI technology would also be integrated into the curriculum for students in tahfiz schools or TVET programmes.
