In a move to leverage gas for economic growth, President Bola Tinubu is set to commission three critical gas infrastructure projects in the country.

According to a statement issued yesterday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and some partners undertook the gas projects.Recall that President Tinubu had identified Nigeria as more of a gas-resource nation than petroleum-rich, indicating his administration’s interest in exploiting the huge gas reserves available to boost the economy. Nigeria’s gas reserves, put at about 208.

A new order by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission will in the next 30 days create the Nigerian Independent System Operator of Nigeria Limited , a development that will split the Transmission Commission of Nigeria .
