MANILA, Philippines: Philippine Book Development Federation President Dominador Buhain said there was a lack of materials for technical vocational education and training in the country.
He said the country's latest score in the PISA 2022 at 77/81 was 'dismal' compared to 78/78 in 2018, which was the lowest among countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations .The PISA 2022 also showed that the Philippines was sixth to last in Math and Reading and third to last in Science.'The dismal report that our PISA scores in 2022 was just a minimal improvement from the 2018 PISA scores,' he said.
