Updated: May. 13, 2024, 10:03 a.m.The City of North Ridgeville moved forward with new ordinances for the new year.NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio -- A trucking and excavating company is hoping to construct a new building on Center Ridge Road.
At City Council’s April 15 meeting, Mayor Kevin Corcoran introduced an overall amendment to the city zoning map to rezone a portion of land at 35782 Center Ridge Road from residential to a highway commercial district. KMU Trucking and Excavating seeks to construct a 9,000-square-foot building, parking spaces and a landscape material storage facility there.
It would require rezoning the property from R-1 to B-3 .And at the May 6 council meeting, an ordinance was introduced for a cooperative agreement with Lorain County for the replacement of the Chestnut Ridge Road bridge.Also introduced was an agreement with Bob Ternes, a local farmer, for a lease of property for farming purposes.
