Businesses here considering using AI to streamline information processes, says Convergent Ireland

Nik Healy, solutions director at Convergent Ireland, said AI can only be implemented to help businesses manage information flow once they have addressed existing 'content chaos' issues.

Conducted by document and information management consultancy Convergent Ireland, the poll of around 100 businesses across a diverse range of industries from pharmaceuticals to construction suggests many firms are drowning in information. Around 82 per cent of businesses polled said that finding relevant information was the most difficult aspect, while 63 per cent admitted they could not trust that it would be the correct version if they happened to find it. Slightly more than two-fifths of businesses, meanwhile, say they are still heavily reliant on paper documentation.
