Two teens crashed into a guardrail with a known controversial history, one died and the other lost a leg. Now the survivor wants the guardrails changed.

Around 10 a.m., Gilbert police responded to a crash near Ray and Cooper roads. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male driver with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

Authorities said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
