Telstra is considering cutting almost 3,000 jobs from its workforce as the telecommunications giant announces major organisational changes.

Telstra considers cutting up to 2,800 jobs from direct workforce as it announces organisational changes and action on cost

Telstra said the move would result in up to 2,800 job being removed from its direct workforce, which would require consultation with employees and unions. Telstra CEO Vicki Brady said the majority of the changes, and potential job cuts, would occur by the end of the 2024 calendar year.
