Swiss multinational SGS announced this week it has produced high-purity nickel sulfates that are suitable for battery chemicals during testing of polymetallic nodules explored by The Metals Company .

The nickel sulfate was generated during hydrometallurgical bench-scale testing of TMC’s matte samples produced from their upstream pilot plant operations at SGS’s testing facility in Lakefield, Ontario.
