BOERNE, Texas — A popular Boerne eatery says an increase in property taxes the last two years has hurt their business and made it difficult to stay afloat.clarified up front that it does not plan to close anytime soon. But, the restaurant said their property taxes increased 50% last year and another 18% this year, adding to their burden.

The restaurant posted what they submitted for their tax appeal, saying that they cannot raise their prices by that percentage, especially on top of price increase for delivery/gas, labor, etc. The post also mentions multiple other Boerne restaurants that have recently closed, including Dog and Pony, Z's Pizza, Limstone Grill, Little Gretels, and the Blacksmith Grill.

It went on to say that it is hard for the owners to see tax exemptions being given to large corporations like Buc-ee's, while their tax burden continues to increase.
