Defining the News

The Department of Trade and Industry and Siemens Inc. of Germany signed a memorandum of understanding Friday to solidify their partnership in advancing Industry 4.0 and e-mobility in the Philippines.

The MOU at the Siemens Advance Manufacturing Transformation Center in Singapore was the second between the two countries that specifically calls for the establishment of the Industry 4.0 pilot factory. Siemens and DTI will also explore developing use cases of artificial intelligence applied in critical manufacturing sectors such as food and beverage, electronics, semiconductors, chemicals and automotive.
