Outgoing Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan weighed in on arguments that partnering with the main opposition was the best option for the ANC in order to appease the markets.

JOHANNESBURG - Outgoing Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan said that the African National Congress had never needed to partner with the Democratic Alliance to convince markets that it was running the country well.

The ANC has settled on a government of national unity , inviting all parties interested in working with it to the negotiating table.His party, the former liberation movement, has been attempting to put together a power-sharing deal following a dismal showing in last month’s general elections.
