Sri Lanka attack leaves more than 200 people dead via SABCNewsOnline

Bomb blasts ripped through churches and luxury hotels in Sri Lanka on Sunday, killing 207 and injuring 450 people.

Two Turkish citizens were among the more than 200 killed in bomb blasts at three churches and four hotels in Sri Lanka on Sunday, Turkey’s government said in state-run media on Sunday. “Unfortunately we lost our citizens…in the treacherous attacks in Sri Lanka,” Turkish foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in a statement.

Several Americans were among the more than 200 people killed Sunday in a series of bombings of hotels and churches in Sri Lanka, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said.
