Letters to the Editor

Readers give a shout-out to Dallas Stars fans; talk about the important work done by Annunciation House in El Paso; and discuss the bump stock Supreme Court decision.

Attorney General Ken Paxton’s lawsuit against El Paso’s Annunciation House is disgraceful. When El Paso became ground zero for the immigration crisis in 2018, Annunciation House became the city’s nongovernmental organization partner. With an international network of Catholic volunteers, it stepped up to feed, clothe and arrange for migrants to unite with sponsors across the United States.

Blaming President Joe Biden for allowing undocumented spouses to enter a path to citizenship is like blaming your neighbor for putting out your house fire because the fire department, which failed to show up, was supposed to do it. Time for a new fire department.I am disappointed in your editorial. The bump stock decision has absolutely nothing to do with the Second Amendment. The court did not imply that anyone has the constitutional right to own a bump stock.
