Five jobs in Global News' Parliament Hill bureau are among those cut across the country at the network in a June announcement, according to Unifor, a union who represents many Global News employees. Jenny Yuen, national representative, communications for Unifor, has confirmed to that three union and two non-union jobs cut in Ottawa were members of the Parliamentary Press Gallery.

“We believe that the loss of the programming and trademarks on five WBD channels could result in as much as $150-million in lost annual revenue and $40-million in lost , representing 12 and 14 per cent, respectively, of our prior F2025E estimates,” according to CIBC. The note describes Corus facing “notable pressure on its advertising revenues,” and the “loss of a key content partner” which compounds concerns.
