Contract Bottlers Ltd has submitted a planning application for tanks with a storage capacity of up to 90,000 litres of ethanol, to be located in Deerdykes Road within the Westfield Park industrial estate in Cumbernauld.

A company has approached North Lanarkshire Council seeking permission to construct an ethanol storage tank setup.
