Richard Hendrickson, 57, of Uintah, Utah, and his 16-year-old daughter, Sally, were killed when a bulldozer fell onto their pickup truck.OGDEN CANYON, Utah — The top executive of a company in Utah and his 16-year-old daughter were killed when a bulldozer broke free from a tow truck, falling onto their vehicle, authorities say.“Richard was more than a company leader — he was also a visionary and a friend to many within our business and the wider community,” the statement says.
Hendrickson was driving a GMC pickup and towing a boat in the opposite direction when the bulldozer landed on his vehicle. Hendrickson and his daughter were pronounced dead at the scene. His wife and two other children in the vehicle had non-life-threatening injuries, according to the company’s statement.
“Richard started as a welder and progressed through multiple levels of the company to become president and CEO due to his extraordinary talents and abilities,” Barry Mower, founder of Lifetime Products, said in a statement. “He was one of my most trusted and cherished friends and will be sorely missed. Lifetime will not be the same without him. My love and heartfelt sympathy go out to his dear family.
