AFL great Barry Hall has been quickly embarrassed in the ring, losing his heavyweight boxing bout to former NRL player Curtis Scott on Wednesday night. The 47-year-old Hall had undergone gone an epic transformation before the Main Event fight, stacking on 10kg of muscle and looking completely ripped at weigh-in where he tipped the scales at a 106.28kg. But unfortunately for the Sydney Swans premiership hero, his new shredded look couldn’t help him against the 26-year-old Scott.

Fans were shocked by what the saw, with some feeling concerned for the former football, However, others brought up his infamous punch on Brent Staker during a Sydney-West Coast game and called Hall a fake tough guy. “Very sad about Barry Hall tonight,” one fan said on X . Another said: “Embarrassing. Fight should never have happened.” And another said: “Surely Barry Hall has better things to do at 47?” Brisbane legend Jonathan Brown said Hall’s boxing days were surely over.
