Israeli company Watergen has developed a line of generators that convert air into drinking water, helping first responders provide water to communities that need it the most

San Francisco In the mountains outside Scottsdale, Arizona, the four people and two dogs living at Cody Friesen's house get all the water they need for drinking and cooking from two big panels mounted on the roof.

Scottsdale -- where it rarely rains and temperatures can easily rise above 100 degrees in the summer months -- isn't the kind of place where water is in abundance. But Friesen, an associate professor of materials sciences at Arizona State University, is also the founder of a startup that he says has come up with a solution for gathering water, even in this desert climate.

Great

Wow!

Amazing tech.

نعلم جيدا أن الجنس اليهودي مسيطر على العالم و متفوق ايضا لكن يبقي هو الشعب الجبان في العالم

And Israel shares with the world. Yet the UN countries, the biggest suppressors of human rights, continue to speak against Israel.

great then take it to the border (fence) and give to the people of Palestine who have issues since water access was used a way to oppress

Great invention but hard to imagine it wasn't already in existence. The science/engineering of this would be interesting. How much energy does it require? How clean is the water relative to spring water and similar drinking sources?

Dude from usa but company israeli right

Good job

I dont get it it's an article from January why now

Another innovative product that the world would never know if radical Islam had its way.

Cool

Could probably do this with a solar collector to create a temperature gradient.

Ac guys in Florida been doing that for 50 years. I wouldn't drink the condensation though.

Check this out!

Finally people who care. Hopefully the bad guys here don’t get involved and ruin everything like always.

They are not the first to be able to extract moisture from the air and make drinkable water even in the desert 🌵!

Brilliant!

Absolutely brilliant

Stealing their lands, farms and resources is not enough! Now stealing the air

With more stolen technology from America?

'Journos' please. Educate yourself.

How clean is it from polluntants found in da air of industrious cities?

Why is it an invention when humidifiers and AC systems have been doing it for years? How much is the energy used to produce one gallon of water using this 'discovery'

Is that what ultimately happened to Mars' atmosphere 🤔

Awesome..how can we go to water fueled vehicles?

Israel is a world example on technology........

So Palestinian communities who’ve had illegal settlers cut their water supply and block up wells are getting access to ... nah, sorry, the irony is making me feel sick.

It’s a giant dehumidifier. Nice!

is the water kosher or halal?

Thank goodness for Israelis brilliance - they are helping the world with advancement!!! What do their enemies, the haters offer? Nothing-Zero-Ziltch!!! Haters: Join the winning team: Israel!!!

They stole the water from Palestine but you're not going to mention that right?

It’s the drip you get from an AC on a hot humid day. If there is no moisture in the air no water.

What a wonderful machine!!! Wish this concept could assist Flint residents😲

So now Israel 🇮🇱 discovered condensation? Meanwhile, Palestinian children continue being deprived of water. That what CNN should be reporting on!

Thank You Israel! Great invention!

also known as a dehumidifier I've had one of these for years! Wow TheMoreYouKnow CNN

CNN's ratings in the toilets :

OMG! They just invented the worlds’ first outdoor dehumidifier.

These are going to sell like hot cakes on Tatooine.

So basically a dehumidifier.

I wish they could manage to convert air into Guinness beer

It's Israeli and should therefore be the subject of global sanctions.

It is better that both sides end the war because ordinary people are struck

Oh they gonna be RICH RICH

IS IT KOSHER

I'm just here for the comments about unrelated topics, thinly veiled anti-semitism, or the people who haven't contributed much of anything to society criticizing people trying to do something.

Next stop Water into Wine.

This is incredible invention, if it's get successful. Shortage of drinking water is one of the most challenging subject to earth. It might give some miracle effects. Well Watergen 👍

Should name it, Mars.

This is the best idea I ever saw since a while !! find more there =

It’s basically a giant dehumidifier

you CANNOT 'convert' air to water, you idiots learntoscience

PoliticalAnt Can they convert their bombs, their bullets and their brutality towards Palestinians? Oh no, they are invested in perpetual blood letting of the innocent for the crime of being born.

“'The main problem is that they usually only work in tropical environments, hot humid days, summertime,' said Majid Bahrami, a professor at Simon Fraser University who tests systems that condense water from the air in his lab”

PoliticalAnt Nazis were ahead of the game too - doesnt justify their cruelty to millions of people in Nazi Germany. BOYCOTT ISRAEL! BDS

Hope like ground water, this popular water manufacture doesn't scarce the air to breathe?

Does the 'mobile' truck idle to run the power generator or is it a separately gas powered unit that then powers the Watergen unit to extract water from the air which comes out as the 'filtered' clean air to mix with the exhaust fumes...the equivocation in the video wasn't clear🌧️

What happens when one farts into the damn thing

What has Yemen innvented?

Oh wow!

Radiation cancer water

Gosh. Sounds like alchemy. Or refrigeration or distilling air, but I don’t want to be cute. Who paid for this ad?

Awesome!

Gaza is less than 50 miles away

💘 high pressure fluid condensation?

How many of these will they install in Palestine? Or will they simply be driven out of existence? BDS ZionismSucks

Will Democracy Ever Come To The Middle-East? Really nice read... Democracy MBS SaudiaArabia USASaudiaArabia Egypt Lybia MiddleEast Iran USAIran

Great technology

Ahhh the hypocrisy!!! Will they help the thousands of Palestinians they deprive of water every single day

CNN reporting positive news on Israel?! Unbelievable! 🤔

Cool science

Great idea 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻😁

Awesome. But what about the price for each gallon of water produced?

That's unbelievable!

To be precise, it seems to extract water from air, not “convert”.

I don't believe it

Remember when they used that in Flint, Michigan? Oh, wait..

We need that in Florida after a major hurricane.
