Analysis of legal and undocumented migrants showed that in areas with large numbers of new arrivals, more empty jobs were filled.

The United States' economy is at risk by not allowing more migrants to work, leading to a widening gap in the workforce, a bipartisan immigration group has told Newsweek.The National Immigration Forum said there are currently around 10 million jobs open across the skill spectrum, but with more Boomers leaving the workforce and a lower birth rate, American citizens alone cannot fill those roles.

While refugees – mainly women and children – arrived by the hundreds of thousands, Canadian officials set up stands calling for workers to head to Canada.'Meanwhile, people would ask me: 'How do I get to work for a U.S. company? Who wants me over there?' and my response was 'I want you and lots of people do want you, but I don't have an answer for you,' Murray said.
