Leeds United's Championship rivals Burnley have secured the signing of international striker Andréas Hountondji from SM Caen for an undisclosed fee.

The Clarets have added yet more overseas quality to their squad for 2024/25 following relegation from the Premier League with the addition of Hountondji from French Ligue 2 outfit Caen. Hountondji spent last season on loan at Rodez Aveyron in France's second tier, contributing 23 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions.

Standing at 6ft 3in, Hountondji joins Scott Parker's squad which already includes the likes of French-speaking teammates Ameen Al-Dakhil, Maxime Esteve, Hannes Delcroix, Wilson Odobert, Mike Tresor and several others. Leeds are yet to show their teeth in the summer market with the addition of previously-on-loan defender Joe Rodon the only big-money arrival so far.
