President Cyril Ramaphosa says the Seventh Administration needs to create a new era of growth and prosperity for the people of South Africa. The President was replying to the Presidency Budget debate.
In his response, he addresses the criticisms and feedback from MPs regarding his speech that outlined his administration’s plans for the year. While some MPs approved of the address, others were critical, suggesting that President Ramaphosa has a history of making promises without delivering on them. Ramaphosa says the government of national unity needs to work hard to better the lives of the poor. He, however, adds that this better life is still elusive for many, but he commits to strengthening the country’s economy.
