The Town of Whitby is addressing rumours that a halfway house is being opened up for parolees in the town.

In the letter, the company says they work with Correctional Service Canada and plan to open on Thursday.“Whitby Council members and Town staff were made aware late last week that a company called Audmax has informed Whitby residents of plans to open a halfway house for recent parolees on Lupin Drive.
