This comes as Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Maropene Ramokgopa, says the SAA group will not be able to table its 2023/24 financial statements by the September deadline.
Ramokgopa has written to National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza asking for an extension to be granted to submit the audit report and financial statements of SAA.“Until recently, SAA had some difficulties in normal accounting and financial controls. It was due to holding open positions, awaiting the Takatso transaction, which is not proceeding. So, at last SAA is in a position to make permanent appointments.
