A group of young people launched an attack but were quickly dispersed by residents in the area.

Politicians have strongly condemned those behind an attack on a shop in West Belfast earlier this evening.

The group of young people were quickly dispersed by around 30 local residents in the area who turned out to offer support to the business owner. “Sinn Féin and community activists have spoken with the workers and we will continue to have a presence on the ground and keep in touch with the owner.” “It is deeply concerning to see young people swept up in such behaviour, especially when we have seen such sickening and widespread attacks on minorities in recent days.
