An investigation into Care Corporation, the company that cares for Conroe’s shelter animals, revealed numerous violations that could result in criminal charges.

– Care Corp failed to treat the animal, and by the time he was picked up by a private rescue nearly three days later, he had chewed off his injured leg and required multiple blood transfusions before going into emergency surgery.

“I move to terminate the contract as fast as we possibly can,” Councilman Howard Wood said. “This is disgusting.” Mayor Coon said while it was the previous administration that proceeded with the most recent contract renewal, he would make sure future contracts would be handled correct.
