Paige Louise Williams, 31, grew up on a council estate in Droylsden and had five brothers so the entrepreneur's main goal was to ensure her mum never had to worry about money again

When Paige Louise Williams embarked on her journey to create a makeup empire, she had one person in mind... her mum. Growing up with five brothers on a council estate in Droylsden, her primary goal was to ensure her mother never had to worry about money again.

Realising it wasn't the right career for her, she became a MAC makeup artist and worked at the Selfridges counter. As her signature glam style gained popularity, Paige started offering her services as a freelancer, eventually becoming so sought-after that she could leave her retail job. "The makeup courses got so busy that people were flying in from around the world," Paige explained. "We had demand from everyone. We started doing online courses for those who couldn't afford flights to get there."

The P. Louise empire expanded quickly, initially setting up shop in an 8,000sq ft warehouse in Middleton but soon outgrew this space within a year.
