eToro US investment analyst Bret Kenwell joins Wealth! to give insight into the broader market landscape as optimism for an interest rate cut increases.Kenwell believes the market long-term may be steady, but short-term could see some bumps in the road:"I think it would be reasonable if we saw some sort of mild pullback or a pause in the equity markets based on the idea that we came into August really abruptly. We had a big pop in volatility.
I mean, is there, um, as we've continued to try and figure out what a fed cut rate or fed rate cut policy, playbook looks like for investments. Um You know, we that's sort of the biggest concern at this point moving forward we do have clarity from the FED, you know, which, which came from, which came today, which I think is a good thing. But, uh, when it comes to the long term, you know, the foundations for this bull market are still in place, you know, the earnings growth from the S and P continues to come in strong.
You know, I think it would be reasonable if we saw some sort, sort of uh you know, mild pullback or a pause in the equity markets based on the idea that we, we came into August really abruptly. So I think, and even tech, you know, tech kind of gets lumped into the mega cap names, which are probably a little less rate sensitive due to, you know, their, basically their immense cash flows and their strong balance sheets.
